From early reading and phonics to mathematics, behaviour and child development, you’ll build the skills needed to make a lasting impact during the most important years of a child’s education.
From your first placement, you’ll learn alongside experienced teachers while building the confidence and practical skills needed to thrive in the classroom.

Primary SEND Teacher Training
Help every child feel seen, supported and able to thrive.
Our SEND pathway is offered within Primary training and is based within a SEND alternative provision in a mainstream school setting. This gives trainees the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and inclusive teaching approaches while working closely with children who require additional support to engage, progress and succeed.
As a trainee, you’ll learn how to adapt teaching, build positive relationships and create learning experiences that respond to a wide range of needs. Alongside hands-on classroom experience, you’ll work closely with experienced teachers and specialist staff who will support and guide you throughout your training journey.
Training in SEND offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact – not only on educational outcomes, but on children’s confidence, independence, communication, and everyday experiences of school.
