Application Process

Your Journey Into Teaching 

1. Explore Your Route Into Teaching 

Find the pathway that’s right for you, whether you’re interested in Primary, Secondary, Early Years, or Primary SEND training. 

You can explore our training routes, visit our schools or speak to our team to learn more about the experience we offer. 

2. Submit Your Application 

Applications are made through the Department for Education’s Apply for Teacher Training service. 

You’ll be asked to provide: 

• Your qualifications  

• Personal statement  

• Relevant experience  

• References  

Our team is happy to answer questions before you apply and support you through the process. 

3. Attend an Interview 

If shortlisted, you’ll be invited to attend an interview designed to help us get to know you better and understand your interest in teaching. 

The process may include: 

• A formal interview 

• A short teaching or presentation task 

• Written activities 

• Opportunities to meet staff and visit the school 

We understand that applicants will be at different stages of their journey into teaching, so we are not necessarily looking for a polished final performance. Instead, we are interested in seeing your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and potential to develop. We want all applicants to feel supported and able to show their strengths throughout the process. 

4. Receive Your Offer 

Successful applicants will receive a conditional offer, subject to the completion of the required checks and qualifications. 

Our team will guide you through every stage before your training begins. 

5. Begin Your Training Journey 

Once enrolled, you’ll begin your school-centred teacher training, spending time in the classroom from the start of the programme and learning through hands-on experience. Throughout your training, you’ll be supported by experienced mentors, teachers and specialist staff who will help you develop your confidence and skills.
