John Conmy

John is a seasoned business leader with deep roots in both the UK and international growth markets. He serves as Oracle Corporation’s lead for strategic relationships with the UK’s rail and bus industry, a role he has held since returning from the Middle East in 2017.

John began his career as a Quantity Surveyor in construction before pivoting to IT as digital transformation reshaped the sector. He then spent 13 years in the Middle East in board-level positions, driving both financial and geographic expansion for multiple businesses. As a father of two daughters, this period also gave him first-hand insight into the region’s then-fledgling education market—its opportunities, risks, and the transformative power of quality schooling.

Educated at St Gregory’s Primary (part of our Multi-Academy Trust) and Princethorpe College, John is energised by the chance to serve on the Board and help nurture the talent of tomorrow alongside fellow directors and stakeholders.
